After acquiring your permit to excavate a certain government owned property, it doesn’t mean that you and your group will be left alone to do whatever you want. A government staff or an assigned individual will monitor your digging or excavation.
So if you have the intention of trying to get away will all of the treasures that you and your group managed to recover, you won’t be able to do so because the authorities will come after you.
It is indeed pretty annoying if someone who is really not a part of your group watching over you. This assigned person could even have his own bad motive.
This is the worse part, if you have successfully recovered a certain treasure, these precious items will be taken by the committee assigned by the government.
Why?
It is all for the purpose of safe-keeping. But, will it really be safe in their hands? Well, I do not really know about that. Due to corruptions, it really gives me a huge doubt.
Anyway, you can find this Philippine Treasure Hunting Law mentioned under the Presidential Decree No. 1726-A Section 4.
